Kanye West was all set to close out both weekends at Coachella on Sunday, April 17th and 24th, 2022, however as of earlier this week, there seems to be a change of plans there, albeit pretty last minute.
The news came floating earlier this week on Monday that Kanye West had “pulled out” from his Headliners performances for both weekends at Coachella. However, the replacement to fill the slot came as no big surprise, accept an incredible addition!
While Swedish House Mafia was already slated to return to the desert and do a special album launch there for Paradise Again on April 15th, they will now be closing out the Festival as the replacement for Kanye West and will also be joined by none other than their recent collaborator, The Weeknd!
President / CEO of Goldenvoice, Paul Tollett shared his excitement saying, “I’m so looking forward to this moment with Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd finishing out the Sunday night slot this year. Coachella has a special relationship with Abel (a.k.a. The Weeknd) and I’m so thankful to have this upcoming performance with these iconic artists all on the same stage.”
